Children’s Book Reviews at Mrs. Pilcher’s Bookshelf
Where is Mrs. Pilcher this time? The previous book was written by Lauren A. Mills and is “The Rag Coat.” It’s a story about a girl and a special coat that is made for her by the women in her community. Written for children ages 4-8, and published by Little, Brown Books for Young Readers. A wonderful story about community, and acceptance. This next book is also about a coat for a little girl. Again, the community is involved in providing the materials and labor for a beautiful coat. It was written by Harriet Ziefert and illustrated by Anita Lobel; published by Dragonfly Books.
